arcastro57 wrote on Sep 22, '11 BTW, you can't buy a new ivory santo here and bring it to the U.S., it's against the law. You can buy antique ivory, but you need a certification from the National Museum (it was made over 100 years ago), to be able to bring it out. |

arcastro57 wrote on Sep 22, '11 There are many restorers of wooden santos here, like Mr. Francisco Vecin of Makati and Mr. Thomas Joven of Pampanga province. Woodpaste statues here are nonexistent, so I don't think you would find restorers of those sort here.Sorry, but they don't sell restored items. There are carvers as well who make new statues for sale. and there are commercial shops that sell generic santos. I will have to e-mail you their contact e-mails as some of them are private people who will not take calls, except by appointment. Thanks. |

Preferably a blessed mother statue made of Ivory?
